RECORDING STUDIO PARTIES FAQ

1- How do I confirm a booking?

We require a deposit of £150 to confirm a booking for up to 20 people. The balance becomes payable two weeks prior to the event when we ask you to confirm final numbers.

2- Can I change my package after I have booked?

Except for the Economy package which has to be confirmed in advance, this can also be done anytime prior to the party event.

3 – Can we bring our own drink and food to the event?

Yes, No problem! We will supply bowls for any food you bring along

4 – Do we need to bring our own drinking glasses?

We will also provide glasses for your event.

5 – How many tracks can we sing and how long does the experience last?

Two backing tracks over a period of two hours is allocated for your session. If you have added a video to your package you would only have enough time for one song as there is a lot more involved in recording the film as well as the parts for the chosen song.

6 – Do we each get a CD of our recording at the event?

A CD for each participant is included in the price. We supply a high quality branded CD with artwork on the disc in a clear clamshell case. If you want to send pics which you want to be printed on the CD we can prepare them for you prior to the party. Although most people prefer to take the CD away on the day, if you want a pic to be selected from the event  we can post the CDs on to you a few days after

7 – What else is included in the price?

In addition you will have a photo session of your party and we will provide you with a CD of your pics to take away at the end of your event. We also provide digital copies of the music which you can share online with friends and family. The Gold package includes a bottle of champagne for the Hen and two glasses of bubbly for each participant.

8 – Is the studio suitable for the disabled?

No. We are situated up three flights of stairs and there is no disabled access.

9 – We’ve never been in a studio. What can we expect?

You will be guided through each stage of making your recording so you don’t have to worry about not knowing the process of making your CD. The main thing is to just enjoy the experience, we will make sure it goes smoothly and that guarantee you will have a fantastic time.

10 – When do we have to decide on which backing tracks we want to sing on?

Ideally, no later than one week before your experience. Although we can get most tracks, it can be an idea to have a back up in mind just in case we’re unable to provide what you want.

11 – Do we have to bring along lyrics for the song(s)?

No, we will a provide printed lyrics for the song(s) for each participant.

12 – Why is there only one song in the Platinum Video package?

As we film a multi angle video of the song and direct a video of high quality there is only time to record one song in the Platinum party. There is also a lot of  editing involved in making the film after the event. We deliver the film to you no more than 5 days after the party.

Here’s some answers to Frequently Asked Questions about our recording studio parties for kids. Please just Contact Us or call on 0131 556 4882  if you have any questions at all that are not answered here.

1- How do I confirm a booking?

We require the minimum payment of £150 to confirm a booking. This allows up to 12 children to attend.  Once your booking is confirmed, the balance becomes payable two weeks prior to the event when we ask you to confirm final numbers attending.

Up to 15 kids and three adults can attend a party event. There is no charge for adults

3 – Can we bring our own drink and food to the event?

Yes, No problem! We will supply plates and bowls for any food you bring along

4 – Can we bring a birthday cake?

Yes no problem at all and we can supply a knife to cut the cake.

5 – How many tracks can we sing and how long does the experience last?

The actual recording part of the event takes around one hour. We recommend singing one song in that time to get a good recording. When the recording is complete it will take a little time to mix and print the Cds. Kirsty, our photographer will conduct a photo session at that point, there will then be time for the kids to have their snacks and birthday cake while listening back to the finished mix.

Here are answers to some Frequently Asked Questions about our Gift Experiences

1- How do I redeem my voucher?

Just ring us on 0131 556 4882 to book in for your experience. Please have your voucher number ready (printed on bottom right of the voucher). Go here for more information.

2- How many songs can I do?

There is no limit to the amount of songs but we usually find, to make a good recording, it takes around one hour to record a song. We record a few takes and then edit together the best parts from each take. The song then needs to be mixed and Cds printed. If the session goes quickly then it’s a good idea to have back up songs ready.

3- I’m not a trained singer..is that a problem?

Not at all, all you have to do is enjoy singing. We will help to make the recording go smoothly and ensure that it’s a good experience for you.

4- Can I bring other people along to my session?

Every voucher includes two participants to take part. The maximum that can take part is six people. You can bring four extra people along to watch for no charge. But we don’t recommend putting yourself under too much pressure by inviting too many people along.

5- Can I play an instrument in my session?

Yes that’s not a problem and we have a selection of instruments on hand. It can take a bit longer to make a recording with instruments as opposed to singing to a backing track.

6- Can I pass on the voucher to someone else if I don’t want it?

Yes as long as they quote the number on the voucher anyone can use it.

7- How many CDs do I get after my session?

You will receive two CDs per person and further copies can be obtained for £2.50 per CD. YOu will however be able to copy from the supplied CDs without a problem.

8- Can I buy extra time?

Yes, if no one is booked in after you, it is possible to extend your session for an extra £45 per hour. Or if you let us know at time of booking we will be able to arrange for an extension to your session.

9- How long is the voucher valid for?

You can redeem your voucher within 18 months from date of purchase
